We are a private medical practice and we do not bulk bill. Our receptionists can advise you regarding fees. Payment is requested at the time of consultation. A discount is available for holders of the Aged Pension Card, providing it is produced at the time of consultation.
Medicare rebates are available for MBS listed medical services and we also accept Department of Veterans Affairs cards. You should bring a current referral letter and your Medicare Card.
You can see a dermatologist without a referral, but then you will not be entitled to claim a Medicare rebate. Purely cosmetic treatments do not attract a Medicare rebate and GST must be added. If there is a procedure or treatment in addition to your consultation, there will be an extra charge. If you wish to be advised what this will be, you should ask the dermatologist during the consultation and they will provide the necessary information or indicate this to the receptionists who will advise you of the charge.
Pathology services are not included in the fees. A separate account will be issued by the pathologist if a specimen is taken for testing (that charge is not administered by our practice).
